Key words: SAP, ECC6, Technical, SAP ECC6, Upgrade, The Netherlands, Unicode, interfaces, UNIX, SAP EHS, ABAP, SAP ABAP, SPDD, SPAU, SAP 4.6C, Developer The Client: A large scale consultancy (FTSE 500) The Role: Implementation - Upgrade 4.6c to ECC6 Skills Required: * ECC6 Upgrade Experience * Strong SAP AB * Proven knowledge in handling typically upgrade issues in the area of: printer/ faxes, interfaces, Unicode, language conversions, Unicode * Should have clear understanding on transport dependencies as we are sending 160 - 200 transports which are related to Upgrade. He/ she should know which transports should go first. * Should have good understanding on ECC 6.0 Archiving ( Unix level archiving conversion to database level archiving and Content server archiving) * Should have good understanding on SAP EHS Module differences between 4.6C and ECC 6.0 as total architecture of SAP EHS changed in ECC 6.0. * Should have good knowledge and able to provide solutions on Unicode conversion related to Master data and Unicode data conversion issues with custom solutions (by ABAP programs) as Unicode conversion by SPUM4 was not 100% correct because of various reasons. * Should have good knowledge on printers and faxes related issues as after Unicode upgrade printers and faxes will not work properly. He/ She should understand the architecture of how printers or faxes work to address the problem. * Should have good understanding on Post Transport activities which have to performed in a duration of 1 to 2 hours during Upgrade weekend. * Should have good understanding on Unicode and Non - Unicode interface (SAP-SAP, SAP to Non-sap ) functionality and should be able to address problems with in short time. * Should have good understanding on limitation of SAP Unicode character formats which are being used in SAP Scripts and Smart forms. * In general He/ She should have good knowledge on SAP Architecture and SAP Unicode Upgrade dependencies.
