Our client in Gillingham is looking for Quality Assurance Officer to ensure compliance with cGMP and Quality System requirements by performing internal audits, documentation review, supplier assessment.  This is initially a contract position. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (key accountabilities)  Review completed batch records and associated batch documentation Perform Internal Quality System Audits Assess and Approve Suppliers Prepare Certificates of Origin Approve process and engineering change control records Review QA process deviations Initiation and closure of system and product related NCRs and failure investigations BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Education Essential: First Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related subject Desirable: PhD Experience/key achievements: Some experience in cGMP, Production or QA/QC environment. Skills/Knowledge: Critical:   In depth knowledge of cGMP requirements for manufacture of APIs Essential: Auditing – internal and Supplier Organisational Skills Interpersonal Skills Time Management skills Communication: written and oral; able to communicate with various disciplines and levels and with customers when they visit Computer skills – LIMS plus email, Excel, Word etc   Desirable:        Understanding of ISO9000 The working hours are Monday – Friday 9.00 am – 5.30 pm The salary £27,000 - £28,000 pro rata.
