My client is a major independant research organisation with an international reputation. They are looking for a Software Engineer. Web application development is undertaken using ASP.NET or PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and deployed on IIS. Windows desktop application development is done using C# and the .NET Framework. Subversion, TortoiseSVN and Trac are used as software configuration management tools.Qualifications and Experience·Degree or equivalent experience in computer science or software engineering·An excellent understanding of software development techniques.·Excellent communication skills.·Experience of working in a commercial environment.Key Skills·Experience of programming in C#, ASP.NET, SQL, HTML, JavaScript and CSS is essential. ·PHP Jquery, SVN, and SQL administration experience is desirable.·Good written and verbal communication skills and confidence in dealing with people at all levels.·Problem solving.·Ability to work as part of a larger team and on an individual basis demonstrating initiative.·Flexible and pragmatic with a 'can do' attitude.·Full UK driving license and own transport
