Senior Business Analyst (IT Vendor Management)
Role Definition: Individuals in Business Management roles ensure that the day-to-day operating activities involved in ''running IT as a business'' are optimized and cost effective to support sound decision making. Dimensions of business management include (but are not limited to) financial oversight and control, portfolio management, business performance measurement, process management, IT governance, communication and human capital management. Business management roles are critical to IT's ability to demonstrate, evidence and communicate successful execution of its strategy. Business Management Analysts - Create support the day-to-day execution of moderately complex business planning activities in one or more business management dimensions for an assigned technology area. IT Vendor Management Objectives: •Ensure Strategic Service providers are effectively managed and the partnership is fully leveraged •Promote transparency and communication between TIAA-CREF and our Strategic Service Providers •Enable sound decision making by ensuring that data used in the analyses and reporting is reliable and accurate Skills / Competencies: Specific: •Access •Advance Excel – Macros, VLookups, Pivot Tables, Charts, etc •Business Analysis •Project Management •IT Vendor Management Experience •Excellent Communication skills General: Problem Solving/Analytical - Generates solutions to complex or unusual problems. Synthesizes information from multiple sources to contribute to the solution of a problem Business Knowledge/Analysis - Takes into consideration short and long-term business needs when developing solutions Managing Change - Identifies process flaws and recommends and helps drive change to increase effectiveness. Actively seeks and disseminates information on change in order to minimize resistance Collaboration - Facilitates and motivates high performance through collaboration and knowledge sharing. Opens channels of communication across boundaries to facilitate sharing of knowledge and ideas. Continuous Learning - identify business advantages and improvements of adopting emerging technologies. Conducts formal and informal reviews where successes and mistakes can be distilled into ''lessons learned.'' Communication - Excellent written and presentational skills Delivering results - Ability to plan and organize self and work in order to achieve objectives and targets. Is determined to deliver outcomes and is able to overcome obstacles in order to move forward. Expected Responsibilities: Responsibilities: 1.Develop / implement on-going monitoring processes and tools to effectively manage / partner with our Strategic Service Providers (i.e., Cognizant, HCL): •Measure performance against SLAs & Deliverables •Ensure compliance to contracted volumes, rates and deliverables •Provide Financial Reporting – Overall, Program Level, Work in Take Form Level – Monthly, YTD, Annual, etc. •Track on-going Financial Benefits •Measure Stakeholder Satisfaction •Identify material issues that need to be escalated to the various Governance Committees •Identify Continuous Improvement and Innovation Opportunities •Gather Demand Forecasts Supporting tasks: •Leverage key reports that will satisfy our needs straight from the Strategic Partner •Identify key reports that need to be consolidated, enhanced, etc. •Identify TIAA sources to validate data from Service Provider (i.e. Econometrics, Clarity) •Document validation process •Identify key stakeholders •Determine distribution process •Gain approval on Requirements 2.Maintain Central Repository - SharePoint •By Strategic Partner : •All agreements – MSA, SOW, WITFs, Change Orders, Addendums, etc. •Reporting •Program Reports – Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly •Work in Take Forms Reporting– Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly •Other Related Documents •Key Contacts @ Service Provider •Key Stakeholders @ TIAA-CREF •Other 3.Facilitate TIAA-CREF / Service Provider Governance and Workshop Sessions as necessary 4.Provide on-going support to the IT Delivery Units 5. Support communication and training efforts Suggested Experience & Qualifications: Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; MBA strongly preferred 5+ years' experience in financial services IT organizations Managed multiple concurrent initiatives People having long time work authorization and willing to work on our W2 can apply.
