.Net Developer (GIS experience) - 3 month contract Our client, voted one of the �25 Best Big Companies to Work For� by The Sunday Times require a .Net Software Developer to be based in their Bristol office to support the development and deployment of several ASP.NET websites for a major international project. Your Role and Responsibilities as the .Net Developer will be: � Support the specification, documentation and design of technical solutions � Develop OpenLayer and ArcGIS client API map components � Provide technical assistance and support to other developers within the project team � Provide input to the development of the deployment plan. � Document agreed solutions according to project standards. � Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients � Support the deployment of the solution, including preparation and delivery of analysis, demonstrations, workshops, training and documentation. The Essential Skills and Experience required for the .Net Developer are: � Experience within the IT/GIS industry, including experience developing solutions with Geospatial technology; � Have had exposure and experience working in an agile development environment; � Be able to demonstrate proficiency in ASP.NET, C#.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript , AJAX, Jquery, REST and SOAP; � Have experience in the development of solutions using one or more of ESRI ArcGIS for SharePoint; ESRI ArcGIS API for Silverlight/WPF; Open source GIS (e.g. OpenLayers and GeoServer); Oracle Spatial; PostgreSQL / PostGIS; Java; OGC standards; Microsoft SharePoint; Jquery; � Be proficient in the delivery of allocated project tasks, to quality, time and budget requirements; � Possess good problem solving skills � Have an enthusiasm for emerging technologies and willingness to embrace new skills � Be able to contribute to other elements of the project lifecycle: i.e. software release, support and maintenance and documentation .Net Developer (GIS) � 3 month contract �300-350 per day- Bristol
