Safety Advisor
Job title: Safety Advisor Job type: 6-12 month contract + extensions Location: Uxbridge, Greater London Salary: �19 to �21/hour A Safety Advisor with pharmacovigilance experience is required by a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Uxbridge area The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering adverse events into the safety database, as well as providing safety information to external and internal customers In return, a contract rate of �19 to �21/hour is on offer, as well as the chance to work with an industry leading organisation Safety Advisor Reports to: UK Safety Manager Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities: - Provide up-to-date and relevant information on the safety of UK products inresponse to external and internal customer requests - Appropriately manage the expectations of all customers in relation to the information that can be provided, and focus on product and customer priorities - Liaise with other areas to share information gained whilst dealing with customers - Notify the Case Management Group of all adverse events within specified timelines - Develop and maintain relevant information sources to aid the efficient handling of enquiries including generating and updating Q&As, factsheets and other technical information - Alert relevant UK Pharma staff of selected AE cases in a timely manner - Feedback on external customer's safety concerns and issues within UK Pharma business - Advise on impact of safety data in optimising labelling in UK SPC and in production of promotional materials - Assist in local management of safety issues, by tailoring global information for local use - Liaise with groups to ensure global consistency of safety message - Input Pharmacovigilance plans and appropriately communicate plans - Train UK Pharma staff, including sales force on safety processes - Review all product complaints received by the company and liaise with members of Medical, GCSP, UK Supply chain and Regulatory Affairs teams on appropriate course of action, if required - To act as an ambassador for UK Safety and work with external liaison groups - To work with GCSP to devise and implement Risk Management Strategies for aligned products, if required Qualifications/Experiences/Competencies: - Degree in pharmacy, pharmacology, other life science or relevant experience - Knowledge and experience of Pharmacovigilance practices and regulations - Knowledge of the legal and ethical issues affecting the provision of information and promotion of products - Ability to assimilate and interpret medical information and terminology - Ability to present information clearly and logically, both orally and in written form - Ability to prioritise and organise workload, and think clearly under pressure and time constraints - Self-motivation and the ability to work proactively - Experience of working in a customer focused environment For more information and the chance to apply, please contract James Harvey on 01342 330 515, or send your CV to james.harvey@goldgroup.co.uk This advert was posted by Gold Group - one of the UK's leading niche recruitment consultancies.
