Freelance Community Investment Consultant
An opportunity has arisen for a Community Investment Consultant to join an organisation based in Swindon on a freelance basis. You will be directly managed by the Senior Community Investment Officer as part of the dedicated communications team, and will play a key role in helping to deliver community investment programs across the UK. In the last 3 years the organisation invested nearly �2 million into communities across the UK through their community benefit schemes, in addition they deliver an education program and a number of employee engagement schemes including employee volunteering. The successful Community Investment consultant will be expected to develop positive working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. They will assist the community investment team in their aim of supporting the long term sustainable development of the communities in which the company operates and take a leading role in improving their ability to demonstrate the impact of the investments they make. Skills & Experience required; - Experience of working in or with the voluntary sector and good understanding of and empathy with the issues they face - Proven track-record monitoring community investment programs or grants - Proactive, organised, able to prioritise work and work alone and under supervision - Excellent and proven interpersonal, networking and communication skills - Good presentation skills - Clear, creative writing skills (website updates and other communications) - Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages - Positive attitude and passion for the area of corporate community investment - Awareness of the business needs from a community investment program - Enthusiasm for working in the renewable energy industry - Ability to travel within the UK with some evening and weekend work - Full UK driving licence
