Service Desk Analyst (Helpdesk, 1st Line Support, 2nd Line Support) BLUS4326 Shipley, Bradford, West Yorkshire Salary Circa £18,000 per annum 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Our client is currently experiencing a period of rapid growth and they are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Service Desk Analyst at their office in Shipley, West Yorkshire to support their national network of 1,000 offices. In this fast paced role, you will provide 1st and 2nd line telephone based IT support to all areas of the business; this can range from simple IT queries right through to more complex scenarios to include hardware, software and network issues which may require escalation to internal and third party suppliers. Customer service is key within this role as you will be required to proactively resolve issues quickly and efficiently whilst supporting users through the provision of training and advice, ensuring that all calls are logged on their in house system. To be successful in this role, candidates must have previous experience within a heavily customer focused service desk environment coupled with knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems, particularly Windows XP and service 2003 (R2). A basic understanding of network principles and PC hardware set up and configuration will stand you in good stead, however you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills which will allow you to manage and prioritise your workload effectively. They are looking for a keen team player with a positive 'can do' attitude and a 'right 1st time' mentality; ideally you will be educated to degree level (preferably in computing) or equivalent and ITIL trained to foundation level although this is not essential.
