Must be a SUPERSTAR with Portals     Position Title: Sr. SAP Basis Enterprise Portal and BW upgrade and support packs Specialist. Interviews: July 12, 2012 or July 13, 2012 (8:00 am – 1:30 PM) Anticipated Start: July 23, 2012   This position will be assigned to a key project to support the upgrades of the SAP Enterprise Portal from EP 6.0 to EP7.3 and BI ABAP&J2EE stacks from BI 7.0 to BI 7.x including BW support pack updates in a multi landscape environment - Sandbox, DEV, QAS, and Production environments. The upgrade will include upgrading\building new application clients (quality assurance, sandbox, Development and production clients). ·         Must be an expert in SAP Portal upgrade and configuration of the system parameters. ·         The successful candidate will have over 5 years of Basis experience ·         At least a few (2-3-4) full cycle SAP upgrades with SAP Enterprise Portals including BI. ·         This candidate has the responsibility for meeting the daily upgrade project schedule for Basis deliverables. ·         This candidate will work closely with client’s Basis staff and includes knowledge transfer for key learning to staff. Duty Statement: ·         Upgrade EP Portal to 7.x and update BW portal to the latest support packs for, DEV, QAS and PRD and Sandbox Portals. ·         Troubleshoot Basis upgrade issues. ·         Manage and adhere to schedule. ·         Collaborate with senior management regarding status of development, knowledge transfer report and issue as appropriate. ·         Perform research of OSS notes and support packages and their impact on the implementation. ·         Work with other SAP area and SAP resources to arrive at solutions and designs that adhere to principles of integration, standardization and simplification. ·         Provide technical assistance and advice to others. Act as mentor to the technical support staff. ·         Perform unit and team testing. Assist with the development and execution of the integration and regression testing plans. MUST have the following experience: ·         At least five demonstrated SAP Portal Full Live Cycle project implementations in upgrading SAP Portal EP and BI to 7.x. ·         Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of overall IT experience with at least 3 years SAP BASIS Portal experience. ·         Must have experience in installation and configuration of NWDI and NWDI Tracks. ·         3 years of experience with setting up the SAP portal environment, the business packages for ESS & MSS and with implementing standard ESS and MSS IViews. ·         Good communication and presentations skill a must. ·         Candidate must have strong troubleshooting skills regarding basis issues and SAP Support. ·         Must have experience with Oracle and MSQL databases. ·         Must be familiar with using SAP run preparation, and SAP upgrade using downtime-minimized strategy. ·         Enterprise Portal 7.x experience with ITS. ·         Previous experience within multiple large scale software or product development projects, working with internal and external partners. ·         SAP Enterprise Central Component (release 6.0) experience. ·         Experience with integrating SAP Portal components - such as ESS and MSS IViews - into non-SAP platforms. ·         Experience on J2EE stack and web technologies like HTML, cookies and session management. ·         Must have experience with pre and post-upgrade cutover tasks for Basis and security. ·         Good interpersonal skills to assist with communications with IT and Business staff and their management who are working under tight deadlines and considerable pressure. ·         Must know how to apply latest kernel patches and support packages. ·         Must provide Project Plan and meet schedule. ·         SAP Internet Transaction Server (ITS) installation and administration, and Portal support including SLD. ·         Must have strong skills in leadership, negotiation, facilitation, communication, mentoring, marketing, training, business process improvement, and resource management. ·         Must be a self-starter. ·         Must be proficient in Solution Manager for the upgrade and other SAP upgrade tools and procedures.
