Our direct client has contract position for the below requirement! Please keep in mind that the Manager is considering candidates with experience developing VB or VB .Net applications, that run on the client (not web apps), rather than remediation experience from Windows XP to Windows 7. 5-8 years experience. The Developer is responsible for assisting other application development teams in the remediating non-compliant Windows 7 applications. This includes consulting on options, configuring, troubleshooting, and assisting with coding, unit testing and planning for production deployment (as needed). Detailed Description: 1. Understand and be able to consult with applicaiton development teams on the various incompatibilities with Windows 7. 2. Analyze and develop a remediation approach for the application(s). 3. Follow corporate coding standards and guidelines to include security, architecture and data in developing remediation approach. 4. Work with other developers, designers, and architects to make sure that the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals. 5. Resolve problems as needed. Attributes: • College degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Management Information Systems • Job experience equivalent: 3 years IT application development experience • Demonstrated working knowledge of the entire Software Development Lifecycle • Proven ability to clearly and effectively communicate business and technical information, both verbally and in writing. Within the last 2 years: - Coding and unit testing experience with VB.Net, ASP.Net, Web Services, SOA, SQL Server as well as older technologies such as Com+/MTS, VB6 and C++ 6
