SAP Basis Analyst, End User, Decatur, Chicago, Illinois, USA. My client a global end user organisation are looking for a SAP Basis Analyst who has specific experience with SAP APO Livecache. Ideally candidates will have a minimum of 5 years SAP Basis experience with 2+ years SAP APO Livecache experience. Candidates should have the following experience: Job description: Provide operational and project support, and administration of multiple SAP landscapes. Perform root-cause-analysis, as well as performance management and optimization of SAP ECC, APO, CRM, BW / BO, EP systems. Provide support to the SAP functional and development teams in SAP BASIS. Ensure SAP applications are patched regularly for security as well as operational/functional deficiencies. Main Accountabilities: • Consult on SAP development projects in order to fit business requirements to the SAP architecture. • Operational and project support and administration of multiple SAP landscapes. • Monitoring and administration of a mission critical SAP system, which is part of a global manufacturing environment on a 24x7x365 basis. • Proactively analyze the current SAP environment to detect deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. • Assist with the design and implementation of governance to ensure SAP policy & process compliance. • Performance management, and analysis and recommendations for the SAP systems. • Regular operational patching of SAP systems. • Provide support / assistance to the SAP functional and development teams in SAP BASIS. • Provide knowledge transfer / support / assistance to the Applications Sustain and Support team. • Develop technical specifications and other documentation, as needed for audit purposes. • Work with the Web Applications / Middleware team in integration projects. • Write / update / enforce system administration procedures. • Work closely with the Infrastructure Hosting and Infrastructure Applications teams to sustain the SAP systems in the landscape. Performance Measures: • On time, on schedule delivery of assigned SAP projects. • SLAs met for Incidents raised / assigned. • Consistently improve SAP practices and implementations. • Proactively assist in evaluation, recommendation of new SAP solutions / technologies. Dimensions: • BMC Remedy is the IT Service Management toolset. • SAP is the primary business system.. • SAP Applications being used are ECC (SD, MM, QM, PP, PM, WM, FI/CO, PLM-RD), EHS / WWI / DMS / TREX (to support PLM-Recipe Development), SCM (w/Live Cache), CRM, HCM, EP, BW / BO, Solution Manager. • Platform for SAP is MS-SQL Server and MS-Windows Server on HP Hardware. • MS-SharePoint and SAP Enterprise Portals are the platforms for Intranet / Portals. • SAP is accessed via Citrix Application Publishing, and Desktop Publishing. • Domestic and International travel will be required up to 50% of the time. Skills and Knowledge Required: • Excellent technical understanding of SAP with a minimum of 7yrs experience in BASIS support. • 2+ full life-cycle implementations including post Go-Live support. • Detailed technical experience in SAP BASIS. • Experience developing technical specifications and documentation. • 3yrs+ experience in BASIS Administration for SAP CRM (BDocs), APO (Live Cache) a must. • Experience with RunSAP methodology. • Proven track record of successful delivery of SAP projects. • Experience with MS-SQL / MS-Windows based SAP systems. • SAP System Landscape Design. • Experience with N, N+1 landscapes and their use. • Deployment of SSO solutions a plus. • E2E-100 / E2E-200 root-cause-analysis a plus. • MS-SQL Server DBA a plus. • Analytically minded and methodical problem solver. • Proven track record in evaluation / recommendation of new SAP system components, solutions, releases, or upgrades.
