Organization name ProTelescope.com -- with more work for the winner Description of the organization and its target audience IMPORTANT NOTE:  As of July 1, 2012:  Our area in Washington DC, USA experience massive thunderstorms on Friday night.  About 1 million homes and business in our area have no electricity due to trees falling everywhere.  We have no power in either of our two offices, and I personally have no power at home.  This may cause a delay in providing you with feedback as we are limited to working from libraries, Starbucks and other public places that have power and internet.  Thanks, Andrew We operate ProTelescope.com. Our main products are, of course, telescopes used for stargazing and astronomy. We carry "manually" controlled telescopes, as well as fully automatic computer controlled telescopes, some of which have on-board GPS systems. Most of our telescopes are for night-use, but some are really primarily for day-use as spotting scopes and for viewing wildlife and scenery. Our customers are mostly (a) beginners and (b) gift givers. Beginners like our site because we offer complete telescope packages at low prices. We also offer fairly extensive explanatory materials on what are good telescopes to buy. The bulk of our gift business happens in the Christmas season. Many of our customers are women buying telescope gifts for their boyfriends / husbands. We also have many customers buying telescopes for their children or grandchildren -- school age through university. We have attached a very detailed design brief, as well as detailed wireframes showing a proposed outline for our new site. We also have supplied some photography, logo, artwork and buttons.
