This is a six-month assignment with my direct client in New York City.  Project extensions possible. This person will function as a PeopleSoft ETL Developer as part of an in-house Data Warehouse project: Work closely with the Clients analysts to understand the additional design specifications. Create new or modify existing ETL jobs in Ascential DataStage per design specifications. Document all code changes and adhere and follow development standards. Unit test all customizations that are done, assist in migration efforts and knowledge transfer to Clients staff of changes made. Work closely with the testing team to help validate and ensure the customizations are performing according to specifications. Conduct some level of performance tuning as needed, chunking, or other possible tuning efforts as needed. Being detailed oriented is a must, obtain sign off from the appropriate leads and ability to stay organized and reporting status will be required. Work closely with the technical team to understand the different design and possible data model to understand what and how testing needs to be done. Working directly with developers to ensure that functional and technical specifications for customizations meet business requirements. A minimum of 3 years of in-depth ETL development experience with PeopleSoft EPM, IBM DataStage (8.1) or data warehouse is required.  There is a strong preference for candidates with previous PeopleSoft EPM experience.  This experience should have been gained working on implementation project teams, spanning multiple full lifecycle implementation projects.  Expert knowledge of PeopleSoft data structures, configuration and setup designs, and business processes within the ETL/EPM/OBIEE modules and strong understanding of tables/record definitions and ability to write and understand SQL is required.
