Project Manager
Job Description: The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the project reporting and resource recommendations for consulting projects and other corporate projects in a team environment; serves as the primary point of contact for projects from inception to delivery; and defines and develops project management processes for the business. • Coordinates with consulting team leads and senior managers to estimate development effort, cost and project schedule for projects. • Prepares budgets and resourcing plans. • Works with project leaders to monitor and control the progress of all projects. • Coordinates with product management, information technology, product support, human resources, and business operations to ensure that the needs of the project are met. • Works with team to maintain good morale and team spirit. • Tracks project status and provides reports to teams and internal management. • Implements project methodologies. • Communicate effectively with client or management on project status or issues. • Communicate effectively with client or management when critical issues arise. • Facilitate project meetings and keep them on schedule • Provide Meeting Agendas and Summaries • Complete deliverables on schedule and/or on mutually agreed upon dates • Maintain a positive working relationship with all internal and external clients • When presented with obstacles, be able to present “options†to management and stakeholders • Consistent delivery, without reminders, of all routine reports and updates • Require minimal supervision • Evaluate and assist in or facilitate implementation of best practices, new or improved processes Job Experience: • Bachelors Degree • Optional masters degree in project management or closely related field • Project Management Methodologies • Cross Functional Teamwork • Negotiation and Conflict Management • Project Cost Management • Risk Management • Computing Environment and Operations • Excellent Communications Skills (Required) • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Negotiation skills. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Computer skills: office automation software, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics & presentation software.
