Title: Senior Fixed Income Technology Business Support Analyst Location: New York, New York Duration: Client has both options open for this role (PERM Full-Time/Long-Term Contract) Position Purpose: This role is to provide proactive desk support for FIC business users, specializing in US mortgages and rates and credit derivative products; facilitating the normal operation of day-to-day desk technology related activities and to continually drive refinement of procedures, processes and quality of service. Key Accountabilities: • Provide technology support to the US mortgage and derivative trading desks, becoming the go-to support person. • Liaise between clients, vendors and in house application teams (front office, back office, middle office) • Perform start/end of day checks and monitor health of systems and business flows. • Fulfill Incident and Problem Management tasks to mitigate, remedy and prevent recurrences of outages. • Analyze and identify areas for improvement, then propose, plan, and implement change • Document runbooks and procedures for applications • Perform UAT on new releases and coordinate roll-outs • Participate in client and street-wide business resumption testing activities Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience): General • Ability to troubleshoot technology and business problems under pressure. • Ability to relay business requirements to functional areas • Ability to prioritize tasks based on criticality. • Understands Tradeflows from execution to settlement • 5 - 7 years supporting capital markets’ businesses and technology Technical Skills • OS: Unix, Windows, Citrix. • Bloomberg TOMS, ION WinFits / MMI, eTrading platforms • Cash / Derivative trading systems Business Knowledge • In depth knowledge of global capital markets; knowledge of emerging markets, fixed income cash products and derivatives knowledge extremely desirable. • Derivative and US Mortgage knowledge essential. • Understanding of end-to-end trade flows from front office through to clearing. • Knowledge of market data (Reuters / Bloomberg). • Knowledge of Fixed Income trading systems and eCommerce platforms is essential.
