Microsoft SQL Server Lead Corning, NY We have a Microsoft SQL Server Lead position with our client at Corning, New York. Job details for this position; Duration- 12 months+ Location- Corning, New York. We are looking for an experienced Microsoft SQL Server Lead to support one of our clients in Corning, NY. The ideal SQL Server Lead is expected to play a technical lead or architect role and assume technical ownership of the SQL Server platform and provide strategy and architecture guidance to a wide variety of organizational users including SQL Server DBAs, Development Teams, Management Teams, Business Unit IT Teams, and Engineering Teams. Responsibilities: - Interact with customer to gather and define requirements and translate them to technical deployments. - Design and architect robust, scalable, fault tolerant SQL Server database environments for high availability. - Develop and maintain roadmap and strategy for SQL Server database services working with appropriate IT groups. - Assume the role of a SQL Server SME and lead technical and functional teams through successful and quality deployments. - Design and Implement SQL Server components for complex IT solutions for new business demands and maintenance of business. - Be the point of contact for all SQL Server databases, products, applications, and infrastructure. - Participate in project initiation and estimate time and materials elements for SQL Server project initiatives. - Serve as the technical lead on projects by participating as project resource representing the SQL Server team. - Manage and extend existing SQL Server standards and processes. - Develop POCs and Position Papers to introduce new SQL Server and related technologies. - Manage capacity plans for SQL Server database environments.
