Job Requirements: Experience managing performance testing activities on one or more large IT projects. Expert in performance testing methodologies, including conducting a performance risk assessment, developing repeatable test scripts using appropriate test data, baselining / benchmarking performance, designing test scenarios to mimic various load conditions, and leading a team of technical resources through the iterative process of testing and tuning. Experience in Web / eCommerce architectures is required. Strong experience in HP LoadRunner / HP Performance Center. Exposure to JUnit automation and the Apache JMeter tool is preferred. Strong understanding of common Systems Development Lifecycle methodologies, including Waterfall and iterative approaches like Agile / Scrum. Independently documents and presents test strategies / plans to project and business leaders. Experience leading multiple resources on projects. Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience. 5+ years’ experience in software performance testing Job Description: The focus of this position is to lead the performance testing work stream for a handful of projects in 2012 and 2013. Each project introduces changes to our customer-facing website, requiring some level of performance validation to ensure that the customer experience is not impacted. The goal of performance testing is to proactively identify and resolve application and architectural issues related to scalability under high user or transaction volumes. The ideal resource would have a strong technical background related to system architecture, strong communication and leadership skills, and significant expertise with the HP Performance Center / HP LoadRunner. The test lead will report status to project leadership regularly and will own the identification and communication of any issues or risks for the performance testing work stream on the project. The SDLC approach being used – Waterfall vs. Agile – will vary by project, resulting in some difference in the performance testing approach. A valid driver's license and valid, reliable transportation are both bona-fide qualifications for this position.
