Job Title: Software Developer - Report Processing Location: Columbia, MD Duration: 3 mo. contract to hire. Responsibilities: Use object-oriented design methods, creating architecture views - Write, debug, test, and maintain software code of that meet user requirements - Participate and review deployment strategies and process - Ensures software engineering principles and life cycle methodologies are applied - Generate the supporting technical documentation (CMMI Level 3) - Leadership participation in cross functional project teams involving IT onshore and offshore team members and contractors Experience Requirements - Expertise in the J2EE development and architectural design experience using UML, design patterns & UI concepts and with due consideration to adaptability, maintainability, performance and scalability issues - Expertise in developing web based applications using JAVA/ JSP/ HTML/ JSF/ JDBC/ Servlets/ EJB/ RMI/ Web services and XML technologies - Strong experience Database design and SQL development in Oracle environment - Experience with frameworks like Struts, Velocity, Tiles, Spring, EJB - Experience with tools like Hibernate, ant, JUNIT, Java logging frameworks and with application servers like JBoss, Tomcat, Websphere & Weblogic - Experience using UNIX shell tools and development of shell scripts - Ability to provide technical oversight to one or more Java/J2EE Programmers - Strong organizational and communication skills, and a capacity for attending to details - Team player with a good attitude and ability to grasp new technologies & react to changes in a demanding and fast-paced environment - Creative, focused, results-oriented, self-motivated, resourceful problem-solver with excellent debugging skills Describe Project Details: Software development as planned for Report Processing Operations in the Enterprise Dashboard team.
