Senior Game Artist
This is an amazing opportunity to: * Show your creative chops by leading the visual design of games that will be played by millions of people. Build beautiful, stylistically consistent visual experiences that invoke memorable emotional responses in the end-user. * Tune the work of more junior artists assigned to your projects to meet your vision. * Design supremely functional, aesthetically beautiful, and elegantly simple interfaces that fade away as players immerse themselves into your games. * Work closely with game designers to optimize user-funnels and maximize player retention, virality, and monetization. * Work with Client*s Marketing and Analytics team to collect play testing and user data to help guide your creativity. * Learn from an amazing staff and prepare yourself for future management possibilities. * Mentor more junior artists and participate in the guidance, processes, and growth of Client*s exceptionally talented art team. * Contribute game ideas to our R&D Team for prototyping and share the profits if your games are built and successful. * Work with a Company that has the stability and resources of a big player and spirit and flexibility of a start up. What you need to be successful in this role: * You need to be a designer first, an artist second. You need to be a master of function AND form. You need to be a fantastic interface designer. * You are a strong, natural leader who stands up for what you believe in. You have a knack for getting others to see your creative vision. * You have experience working with big brands who demand strict adherence to style guides. * You need 4+ years experience as a game artist/designer (this includes UI design work, game environments, establishing visual style, etc.). * You have a great online portfolio that demonstrates your skills. * You are an expert in Photoshop and other industry standard applications, have experience working with proprietary tools, know the best practices for preparing art for programming, and are a quick learner. Experience with 3D is a plus. * You have experience designing game visuals for demographics outside of your own. * You have excellent communication skills. You will need to communicate your creative vision to other team members and employees. * You are detail oriented and have impeccable organization skills. You can be relied upon to manage your own time effectively and know when to ask for help. * You won*t settle for anything less than perfection.
