This role is as an individual contributor to develop and maintain .Net application. The role also meets regularly with internal team members and infrastructure support to coordinate the support of the applications. This person must also be capable of designing and building enhancements and new methods to support contractual changes and new product implementations. Functions: Documenting clear and concise Technical Systems Designs from requirements High Quality coding and unit testing Effective communication within the team Production support of existing products and applications Translate business requirements into implementation process by considering all alternatives and implementing the best strategy to ensure design meets performance, usability, and reliability and scalability requirements Participate in the definition of functional and non-functional requirements of a system and define the development strategy, standards and support tools Translate business requirements into detailed design documents Write source code, adapt existing components, and test the developed components as units creating test stubs and test data as necessary Work as a part of a team to create the right technical and business vision and direction to meet requirements of the business Requires an understanding of the overall system architecture and the impact of changes to the system Define and ensure compliance to standards and best practices for development including change management, release management and source code control Estimate project timelines; refine at design and meet those published dates as part of overall project management and control Familiarity with Agile Methodology is a plus The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / an advanced degree is preferred Minimum four years of industry experience in a software engineering capacity Four of more years of web application development experience in .NET (ASP.NET, and VB.NET, and C#) Must have worked on a development team through at least two major development cycles Experience in SQL with SQL Server and Oracle Databases (SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS) Experience with SharePoint 2010 will be a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work closely with teammates to solve problems, transfer knowledge, and develop overall product architecture Commitment to the highest levels of quality and demonstrated accurately and thoroughness
