Must have strong background in database design, performance tuning and some development skills as well. Consultant will be doing administration with SQL 2000, SQL 2005 and SQL 2008 servers. Note: No Third party vendors will be entertained (only W2) Position Scope: Senior SQL Server DBA with strong background in database design, performance tuning and some development skills as well. * Candidate will be doing administration with SQL 2000, SQL 2005 and SQL 2008 servers. * Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. * Expert on SQL 2005 and SQL 2008. * Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting replication issues. * Experience on installing SQL Server and configuring SAN and Cluster server. * Experience with other Microsoft products (highly desired) i.e.: Reporting Services, Analysis Services * Must have excellent organizational skills and detail oriented * Ability to work under pressure to meet tight delivery timelines * Ability to interact between application developers and DBA/Database developers * Experience with Windows 2003 & Windows 2008 helpful but not required * Experience with DBArtisan, Erwin, ETL Tools ( highly desired) * Candidate will be working closely with the development team Note : * Ideal candidate will be a strong DBA havin some development skills like T-SQL.
