Title: Project Manager – Asset Management Duration: 13+ Months Location: Burbank, CA DESCRIPTION: The role of Asset Manager is a role within the NA Service Management Group. This role will be responsible for managing the Asset and Configuration Management services for one of our large customers in North America. This role will require the individual to ensure appropriate execution of our Asset and Configuration Management processes and therefore will work closely with Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Tower Management and Leads, S service Delivery Managers and at times directly with the Customer to ensure success. The Asset Manager will administer, manage, audit and improve all aspects of the Asset and Configuration Management processes for the Account. This role will also ensure data yielded from this process will be of high quality and provide management with the right level of business intelligence about the IT assets in the estate. Both Hardware and Software Asset Management is in scope. The successful candidate must be client focused in the delivery of service, with good client facing and communication skills. 60% Ensuring there is an accurate record of all assets utilized in the account and ensuring the integrity of the CMDB. Leading remediation activities if there are issues. 20% Maintaining sustainability of Asset Management service including processes, asset audits and asset audit trails. 5% Provision of coaching to account team members and the customer on asset management Setting Asset Management strategy. 5% Setting Asset Management strategy. 10% 5% - Interacting with customer to explain status and progress around Asset Management services. 5% - Understanding and reporting upon assets used by services and projects. The Asset Manager will possess a deep understanding of Asset Management best practices. The individual must have at least 7- 10 years experience managing Asset Management services. ITIL and PMP are Required Individual must be experienced in both Software and Hardware Asset Management. Software license management experience is also required The individual will understand the concept of Asset reconciliation and have experience utilizing tools to perform this activity. Individual will be well versed in the activities required to perform asset audits and can articulate strategies around the best methods for implementing such audits. Individual has performed Asset Management process improvement and is able to amend/produce procedures as well as lead the rollout of those processes. In addition to the above skills; ITIL V3 Foundation, ITIL Service Transition and Asset Management tool knowledge. Ideally experienced in the use of BMC Atrium. The Asset Manager must understand the integration of processes and tools within the overall delivery environment, how they impact the asset management services delivered to our customer and determine strategy / approach to continually improve those process, tools and services. The successful candidate is able to detect deficiencies in Asset Management services delivered to our client, determine the root cause of those service deficiencies and present cost effective remediation actions to address such deficiencies. Should have an analytical and methodical approach to problem solving. Intimately accountable for the successful delivery of services as per the account Service Level Agreement. Accountable for the accuracy of the CMDB. Ensures Asset Management related contractual requirements are embedded in the procedures. Accountable for the sustainability of the Asset Management data and process.
