A great opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the Finance Team in London , on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The London office has over 100 legal professionals and acts for financial institutions, regulators, corporations and government bodies across sectors including automotive, energy, finance, leisure & hospitality and real estate. The role requires finance and accounting experience within corporate professional services, ideally law. Responsibilities Preparation and collation of monthly accounts including timekeeper statistics, management accounts and practice group profitability report. Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register on a monthly basis including depreciation allocation. Inter-office reconciliations; balance sheet and P&L accounts; understanding of the type of entries allowable and liaising with the finance team in the relevant office to ensure accounts reconcile. Bank account reconciliations in GBP and USD; allocation of monies received and sent, including bank charges, currency exchange transactions and overdraft fee. Maintenance of Partners’ capital loans; allocation of new loans, repayments, quarterly interest and loan fees. P&L analysis; month/year to date actual vs. budget, ensuring expenditure has been allocated correctly and providing relevant codes. Any other ad hoc duties in assisting the Management Accountant and Finance Director of London . Candidate Profile You will be AAT Qualified and/or ACCA Part-qualified. Experience within the accounts department of a professional services firm is essential, law would be ideal.
