SAP Basis Project Specialist
SAP Basis Project Specialist Join the winning team of a leading European Auto Maker. Great opportunity to work in a World Class Manufacturing Facility with a Global Team of top professionals! This is a long term consulting assignment. Consults local representatives of Process IT (PIT) and Application Operation about available SAP Basis solutions within the company's infrastructure as well as steering global providers of SAP Operations. Position Responsibilities: - Acts as first point of contact for Start-up Manager (SUM, FZ-2) and Maintenance manager (MM, PIT) - Consults on the set up SAP based projects (Basis, Infrastructure, Upgrade) - Provides consulting for SAP related tools (ChaRM, TDMS, Data-/Document Archiving) - Supports the company Infrastructure Guidelines & master solutions - Maintains reports of defined KPIs and operational issues - Provides clarification of mediation/escalation of operational conflicts/incidents - Participation in regional CAB - Administers SAP system operation of project systems on request - Performs analysis of SAP systems on request - Handles multiple tasks while switching priorities and focus as needed - Performs other duties as assigned by MC Operations Supervisor. Position Competencies: Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent of 4 years or more of related experience in Information Technology Experience: - 5+ years of technical experience in Information Technology specifically pertaining to SAP System landscapes in a production environment. - 4+ years SAP System specific project management experience. - 4+ years Consulting/IT Project experience - 3+ years organizational, problem solving and communications skills as proven through business application. - 2+ years of ITIL experience Licenses and/or Certifications: - Minimum of 6 documented SAP related training classes - SAP Basis related certification (Preferred) - ITIL Foundation Certificate (Preferred) - Project Management Certification (Preferred) Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Advanced knowledge of SAP Basis administration tasks. - Advanced knowledge of SAP System landscape installations, upgrades, system copies (homogeneous and heterogeneous). - Advanced knowledge of SAP middleware components such as SAP ITS, WAS, Business Connector. - Advanced communication skills as proven through business applications - Intermediate knowledge of relational database systems such as Oracle and/or SQL Server. - Intermediate knowledge of Unix, Linux and MS Windows O/S technologies - Advanced knowledge of Project Management Skills and methodologies - Basic to Intermediate knowledge of SAP software development methodologies including ABAB programming - Advanced knowledge of working within a global/distributed enterprise IT environment - Advanced knowledge of ITL service/process - Advanced understanding of enterprise operations strategies and protocols No 3rd Parties Please.
