Logo Redesign - Logo Design
We are looking to redesign our current logo. Our current logo can be seen at Important information- Our current logo represents an eyeball with a contact lens. The bubbles represent the ability of oxygen to pass through the contact lens to the eye. The new logo should also convey this message in some way. The challenges with the current logo that need to be addressed are: 1. Due to the arc in the middle of the logo (representing a contact lens), the logo has a very large footprint and is hard to place on printed material. 2. When the logo is reduced, the bubbles, shadows and small print make the logo almost unreadable. 3. Our new colors are navy and a bright yellowish/gold color. Unfortunately we have not selected PMS colors yet but the attached photo of a banner shows the colors we will be using. 4. We can remove the URL from the logo. We are most likely needing two versions of the final logo. One with the full name of the institute (Gas Permeable Lens Institute ALONG with the acronym GPLI and another WITHOUT the full name of the Institute which would only have the acronym of GPLI. The exception would be if you found a way to create one logo that can be reduced to the size of a dime and still be readable with the full Institute name.) GUIDELINES: - Sophisticated and classic (not cartoonish) with a modern twist - Be easily enlarged or reduced without losing recognition of details - Communicate the idea of an eyeball and a contact lens WITH oxygen that passes through the lens to the eye - Using new color palette of navy and gold as primary colors. YOU CAN USE ACCENT COLORS if necessary of the bright yellow, bright green or bright blue which can be found on the homepage. Final version will need to be submitted in the following manner: 1. Color version WITH full Institute name in jpg format and color version WITHOUT full Institute name (only using GPLI) in jpg format and in vector format 2. Black and white version WITH full Institute name in jpg format and WITHOUT full Institute name (using only GPLI) in jpg format and in vector format ***Our current logo can be viewed at I've also attached a very old/simple version of what our logo used to look like. ****Be creative! Please remember this logo represents an educational institute and should be sophisticated. It also represents new technology so it should have that modern edge that indicates it is a technology institute. Desired Skills: Logo Design Keywords: Logos, Logo, Design
