HR Officer / Human Resources Officer Salary: £19,200 - Temp - minimum of 6 months, maybe more Part time - 30 hours per week Tues to Fri - (Salary above is for 30 hours). The Company: Leading manufacturing organisation, producing house hold name products. The Role: HR Officer / Human Resources Officer Provide HR advice and guidance. Maintain up to date knowledge of employment law Conduct disciplinary investigations/hold disciplinary meetings when required up to level of final written warning The issue and recording of relevant disciplinary paperwork Assist with the handling of grievances in conjunction with the HR Manager Preparation and issue of weekly headcount report, daily manning report and monthly KPI stats Control and monitor of sick absence levels including the production and analysis of absence reports in conjunction with other HR Officers, determining suitable action if necessary Responsible for conducting absence review meetings in conjunction with other HR Arrange medical appointments when necessary with the OHA Nurse or Doctor Assist with the implementation of the Company Redundancy Policy where required including calculations and relevant paperwork Conduct maternity talks and issue relevant paperwork Maintenance and control of Retirement and Long Service database, issuing relevant paperwork at required times. Assist with recruitment and selection as and when required The planning and preparation for employee welfare events Required to represent the Company at careers/job fares To carry out surveys and statistical analysis as requested Ad hoc projects as required The Candidate: HR Officer / Human Resources Officer Previous experience as a generalist HR Officer (preferably in a unionised manufacturing environment). This is to include experience of the following: Conducting disciplinary/grievance meetings Absence control Interviewing and Selection High level of interpersonal skills High level of computer literacy Must possess an up to date knowledge of current employment law Excellent administration skills The successful candidate will ideally be a graduate member of the CIPD or working towards this qualification.
