Job Title: Mobile Tester Location: Riverwoods, IL Duration: 6 Months Job Description : This position is responsible for all the day-to-day UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for Client’s mobile activities in E-Business. In addition, this position will be responsible for managing small scale mobile initiatives including addressing production issues, implementing compliance related changes and addressing small releases to better align mobile with full site as appropriate. The employee in this role will become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our rapidly expanding mobile applications and will be able to quickly understand and grasp how the various features and applications we have integrate with each other online. The work will involve managing relationships between various business units that perform UAT testing for our mobile website and mobile application platform, as well as being a problem solver and decision maker on UAT issues. The Mobile testing coordinator may be responsible for writing test cases, but plays a more SME role in ensuring that the test cases written match up to business specifications and that issues that come up are resolved quickly and efficiently. This role will also be looked at as an innovator to help us redefine our Mobile testing processes. Responsibilities: o The position will oversee all daily Mobile testing activities for E-Business, varying from reviewing test cases, to approving defects, to holding meetings with business partners on testing related matters. o Maintain a high degree of interaction with Business Technology teams. This role requires extensive work with teams outside of E-Business and the ability to maintain a seamless relationship amongst the groups. o Act as an extended member of our Mobile team. o Monitor and review test cases accurately and check them for business specification compliance. o Work in a timely, efficient fashion to resolve issues that come up in UAT, escalating issues when necessary to ensure a quicker time to market for the business. o Identify ways that we can create faster, smoother and more efficient Mobile testing processes for E-Business. The ability to identify areas for improvement will be key. o Actively participate in the implementation process with our Technology partners. o Lead UAT meetings sharing pertinent information and be the testing advocate for E-Business. o Manage 3rd Party vendors and agencies o Ad-hoc testing of the website and mobile applications as needed. o Manage the production validation of quarterly installs o Provide day-to-day support of production mobile applications. o Assist with 3rd Party Application and Enabler testing. o Become an expert on Client mobile features and functionality. o Responsible for executing project proposals and small change requests which will include defining requirements, facilitating testing and overseeing implementation for small effort-level mobile initiatives Skills Required o Minimum of three years of User Acceptance Testing experience in the Internet realm. Previous leadership role is beneficial. o Experience managing small scale projects. o Experience testing mobile applications and devices. o Experience testing multiple mobile platforms (iPhone/Android/Tablet) in multiple connectivity environments (Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G). o Solid judgment and the ability to make decisions. o The ability to think decisively and communicate clearly to diverse audiences. o Ability to identify critical areas for testing from business specification documentation o Strong relationship building skills are needed to work closely with all Business and Technology teams to ensure value is added, and challenges are addressed. o Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical to effectively facilitate meetings, deliver information, and gather input from our partners. o Excellent coordination skills are necessary to ensure that individual projects are effectively planned and those simultaneous projects are managed and monitored. o An ability to work independently as well as part of a team is critical and a wide degree of creativity and problem solving is required. o Proven ability to grasp concepts and processes quickly and implement ways to improve them will be important to the role. o Excellent project management skills as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are critical to being able to be successful in this role.
