Background Our client is a retail giant with an excellent reputationand an international presence. We are currently searching for a Project Managers a nine month project within their productivity team. The productivity team is responsible for driving operational change within stores and plays a vital role in the company as the powerhouse behind their productivity savings targets. As such, they are an integral part of the business. They are a busy team and given the pace of change at themoment, need some additional consultative resource to join. 9 month contract, with strong potential to become permanent for an excellent candidate. The Role: The productivity team is currently in the process of running a number of change initiatives within stores, and need an experienced, proactive Project Manager to support this, reporting into the Programme Manager and working closely with a team of 6 Project Managers. They are introducing a standard operating model which will be a blueprint for a set of new processes in stores. There will be anumber of project managers working within the team focussed on individual changes in stores, e.g changes to check out processes. The consultant will oversee a range of these changes and then document: The new processes Changes to store staff’s activities/responsibilities What ‘good’ looks like All this information will feed into the eventual blueprint which will be rolled-out across all stores. The range of tasks involved in this role include: Documenting processes using business process mapping Liaising with HR to communicate required changes to store staff’s roles as changes occur Liaising with store format directors People management – working closely with the Project Managers who are responsible for individual changes in stores Project manager requirements Strong project management experience ideally with consulting background Retail experience useful but not essential Strong communication skills and ability to push for things to happen Process mapping Change management experience Driving license Salary: up to £50K pro rata Location: Greater London
