Packaging Technician Job Summary: Their chief responsibility is to ensure that the packaging process is carried out according to the goals set by the finished goods supervisor. Work safely and efficiently to complete all tasks related to successfully packaging all four finished goods products. Effectively communicate productivity, necessary maintenance items, and safety issues to finished goods supervisor. General Responsibilities: Safety : Understand and practice all plant safety rules and guidelines. Make sure all plant safety guidelines, procedures and policies are followed Reinforce safety practices on a daily basis Participate in plant safety meetings Ensure appropriate PPE is used to perform their jobs safely and effectively Notify the finished goods supervisor, packaging & logistics manager, and EHS manager in the event of a safety incident Participate in incident investigations as necessary Packaging responsibilities : Responsible for entire process of packaging/warehousing of Sevoflurane, Isoflurane, Enflurane, and Desflurane Engage in daily packaging/warehousing operations and communicate problems, (i.e. material shortages, equipment malfunctions, etc.) such that loss of production is minimized and packaging and quality objectives are achieved. Notify finished goods supervisor of maintenance work needing to be done Participate in minor maintenance activities(i.e. soft changeovers) Ensure operating supplies and materials required for packaging/warehousing are obtained. Responsible for ensuring safety, environmental, quality and materials management procedures are followed on a daily basis Ensure packaging goals and objectives are met on a daily basis. Participate in daily start up briefs and post packaging debriefs Housekeeping : Responsible to see that plant housekeeping practices are followed Reinforce housekeeping practices on a daily basis Ensure a complete housekeeping is done at the end of every shift Maintain a class 10k/100k packaging environment Recordkeeping: Ensure accurate batch-records are kept during each packaging run Ensure FIFO for all components and finished goods Other Duties: Conduct other tasks as required.
