The site should have a social network, as well as a section where the member can put private files for their own use, and these files can also be viewed by others but only if permitted by the member. The site can be built using readily available scripts/engine for social networks, or be built from the ground up. The site can not have any branding on it, meaning that if the site is built using the XYZ engine, then the user can not see the XYZ logo on the site or in their username. I have looked at Ning as a possible engine, and if you can make it work, then that is OK. If you have a different option, I will look at those as well. You can also design the site from scratch. The site should have custom headers and images, etc. not just what the engine provides, and it must have a clean and easy to use home page.
