My business, Run Shirtless, will allow thousands of participants in major road races across the US to run....shirtless. We produce custom race bibs in the form of a temporary tattoo that looks just like your race bib. It is read by race cameras so you receive your pictures and very importantly, it's sweat-proof. I need to create a logo that translates well to all age groups and is versatile or use on my website, business card, apparel, etc. What's most important to me, is that the design is authentic - looking professional but made with love. The product is both fun and purposeful, and I'd like the logo to be the same. Hopefully the brand will gain some "street cred" with runners over time, so I need it to be memorable. I need it to translate well to apparel which I also plan to sell on the website. Lastly, as I reach to race partners in the near future like Tough Mudder, Ragnar Relays, Pat's Run, Race for the Cure, and others - I need the brand to "stick visually". Even though we're a start-up, the branding should not look like a work in progress. A portion of profits for all bibs are donated to charity organizations affiliated with my races.
