Data Analyst - SAS and Consumer Data Experience
Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Data Analyst on a contract opportunity with a leading company in Manhattan. Position Overview Dedicated brand resource responsible for creating and executing the client segmentation, client selection and data extraction for direct mail, e-mail, telephone, web and POS client marketing campaigns. Responsible for the reporting, analysis and presentation of campaign results to associated brand and CRM. Work with CRM Director in supporting the brand with ongoing client analysis to drive significant gains in client LTV, retention rates and assimilation rates. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities • Use Campaign Management software and other database tools to execute client data for direct mail, email, telephone or other direct marketing campaigns. For all client contact campaigns, ensure that all government regulations, corporate policies, acceptable industry practices, and the clients’ wishes are adhered to. Create and hold out appropriate control groups in order to accurately measure the incremental campaign and client impact to the business. Develop and recommend relationship marketing campaign quantities for appropriate relationship marketing initiatives. • Work directly with Brand Marketing to identify appropriate offer, creative and segmentation testing and control group creation for a direct client contact campaign. Develop, produce and deliver campaign analytics by campaign, segment, offer and format using industry best practices and methods. Generate executive summaries of key points and recommended next steps. • Develop an automated process for reporting on campaign results. Include results for the brand total, mail group and control group across product categories, spend ranges and other metrics. • Setup, monitor and analyze permanent/seasonal control group. Provide recap, summary, and pertinent reporting on results and recommended next steps. • Partner with Brand Marketing to identify the goals of direct client contact campaigns required to support the brand’s business goals and objectives. • Work directly with Brand Marketing team to develop and implement trigger-based client contact strategies such as new client assimilation, attrition prevention or reactivation programs. • Work directly with the Brand Marketing team to develop, utilize and measure seasonal and annual client contact strategies to ensure maximum penetration into the client database while also maintaining the optimal number of client contacts to balance client Life Time Value (LTV) and campaign IMROI. • Perform ad hoc analyses, as needed, to support client relationship marketing efforts, and to answer questions from brand and corporate requestors of client contact and performance information. Interrogate the client database through data mining tools such as Regression and LTV Analysis. • Develop and produce timely client and market/store reports that monitor changes in the client base. Create and execute divisional reports to be generated on a monthly and annual basis in order to establish trends and identify action items. • Be proactive in identifying company or brand specific analytical projects to increase business intelligence thus facilitating more fact-based decisions based on client analysis. • Implement and productionize corporate reporting, dashboard and KPIs. Develop a system to automate the delivering the corporate reporting on a set and agreed on schedule with key business leaders. Work with CRM Director to analyze and report key metrics, trends and results to appropriate business leaders. • Work with CRM Director to understand 3rd party consumer list requirements. Partner with 3rd party data providers to obtain necessary data. Collaborate with CRM Director to obtain final approval from Brand Marketing in order to execute the 3rd party data order. Work with data processing firm to manage and report net name results to Brand Marketing and CRM Director. Position Requirements: • 2 - 4 years analytical experience in a marketing, retail or financial position. Experience in customer relationship management (CRM) or Catalog a plus. • Hands-on experience with a MCCM (multi-channel contact management) system, such as Unica, Alterian, Neolane or other appropriate platforms. • Strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, a high aptitude for problem solving, and a natural interest in consumer behavior. • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word & Excel, and SQL is required. Experience with SAS, Access and OLAP reporting tools in a data warehouse environment is a plus. • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to share information so that co-workers and band counterparts can take action. • BS or BA degree with business coursework in marketing and statistics is required. Master degree a plus. • Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities. • An understanding of retail financial analysis (i.e. Profit calculations, ROI) and statistical methods such as lifetime value studies, regression, cluster and other advanced statistical concepts. • Experience with campaign management software and business intelligence tools, especially Business Objects, a plus. • Ability to effectively understand, communicate and relate to technical and non-technical groups within the organization.
