A Westbrook based Research & Development company is looking for a research assistant to participate in research and development activities in support of new product development and/or product support of existing products. The ideal candidate utilizes established mathematical and scientific techniques to collect data, exercises judgment within defined practices and procedures. Work is closely supervised. Must have excellent lab skills, experience with Microsoft office, and ability to maintain clean/accurate reports. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs laboratory bench work associated with product development or support • Analysis of data consists of review of identifiable factors • Contributes within a team environment • Utilizes established methods and procedures to perform job functions • Gathers data and documents activities according to established guidelines • Orders laboratory or general supplies • Works under close supervision - usually daily. • May interface with various departments • Other duties as assigned *Must have a scientific Bachelors degree* This is a temp-to-hire position and the pay varies.
