Instructional Training Specialist. We are currently seeking an experienced Instructional Training Specialist for a contract position with our Columbus, OH client. This person will develop training materials for existing IT process, procedures and software application, coach subject matter experts in delivering training, and create e-learning materials. Deliverables include classroom slides, classroom workbook, job aides, and e-learning. Additional Responsibilities: • Establish, coordinate and conduct training programs for company-standard PC packages, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. • Ensure all documentation is maintained and updated as necessary for support of client's desktop applications. • Coordinate remedial training / new hire and sustaining training for the associates on client's desktop systems. • Keep abreast of current technologies and delivery methods and recommend / implement appropriate changes to ensure client remains leaders in technology training and delivery. • Identify innovative, cost effective ways to provide support and training to end user service. • Identify training needs across the businesses and how to incorporate them into the client's training delivery / schedule – Recommend ways to increase productivity in workflows across various positions in the business and how the desktop applications can provide this automation. • Work with client help desks to ensure they are capturing the “training” issues that are in existence in the training classes and curriculum. • Market Training Services to all client businesses. • Help establish relationships with outside vendors, including taking their classes, to assist in meeting “other” training needs the client does not support, i.e. technical training / CBT needs / web based training. • Review “Other” training delivery methods (web based, CBT) to see if there is applicability for use within the company. • Perform training for other desktop applications that are not “Company Wide” standards but may be standard for a few, but not all, of the client businesses, i.e. Wired, IRIS, Event Management. • Prepare for and actively participate in Learning Focus Group meetings in order to gather new ideas to incorporate into the overall learning program. Prepare a weekly status report for Management as well as monthly report of PPO’s . • Establish project/activity timetables. • Prepare and communicate status, issues and opportunities to business. • Perform other duties as assigned.
