We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains(GP) Systems Administrator who is proficient at supporting and troubleshooting application, system bugs and performance issues across a full-suite of GP 2010 application modules, extensions and utilities including but not limited to: Fixed Assets, SOP, POP, GL, PM , Collections, FIN, MFG, INV, Service, Smartlist, FRx, Reconcilers and Reporting. Reporting will consist of knowledge of the Great Plains table structure so you can assist in the creation of SQL Reports and Report Writer Reports/Adjustments. You will also be responsible for integrating Great Plains with SharePoint 2010 / Business Portal and configuring e-connect and GP 2010 web services in support of custom applications and integrated solutions. In addition, you will assist IT development with a variety of integration tools such as BizTalk, Integration Manager or Scribe for extracting/loading data from/to GP and other platforms. As part of your regular duties, you will work closely with Microsoft Technical support and the Sonos IT Ops change control process to evaluate and apply patches/upgrades regularly to the GP environment and act as the Sonos Technical subject matter expert (SME) for GP providing recommendations to management on operational efficiencies. You will need to have solid knowledge of a variety of Great Plains Applications Modules with Finance as your specialty and use best practices for running and maintaining GP at optimal performance. You must have solid operational experience working closely and effectively with technical peers supporting a multitude of business users around the globe. Responsibilities : • Responds to assigned IT help requests and works proactively with users to resolve GP issues with excellent client focus and service. • Provides Financial period close support and runs all standard GP system clean-up utilities such as reconcilers and purge/archive scripts. • Builds reports and report templates including writing supporting T-SQL code. • Evaluates and develops new and updated requirements and the database specs needed to support those requirements. • Monitors the SQL Server environment including backups, recovery and usage. • Handles Database-related user requests. • Manages the creation & scheduling of production reports. • Supports day-to-day operations of GP Applications and 3rd Party Modules. • Familiarity with CRM (SFDC, MSFT CRM, RIGHTNOW etc.) and experience integrating the two applications is highly desired. • Develops work plans and track/report status of assigned projects/tasks. • Develops and maintain technical requirements and design documentation. • Provides 24-hour on-call support for new releases to production as needed. • Provides training to users as necessary. • Assists other IT Ops System Admins with Terminal Server configuration and performance and managing role-based security. • Designs and Implement Business Alerts and GP Smart List Builder reports. • Works with Microsoft Premier engineer to implement GP Health check remediation actions and improvements. • Assists IT applications development team with e-connect / Web Services integration with GP modules/tables. • GP 2010 Business Portal Design/ Integration with SharePoint 2010. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field. • 5+ years of application support and/or application administration experience for Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, FRx. • Experience with Great Plains 2010 is highly desired. • ETL experience using one or more of these technologies: Scribe, SSIS, SmartConnect, econnect, BizTalk. • Experience with installing, configuring and supporting 3rd party modules for GP. • 7+ years of Structured Query Language Reporting (SQL Reporting ). Skilled at writing and supporting SQL queries and triggers. • 3+ years of T-SQL - Creating Tables, Views and Stored Procedures. • Able to develop technical plans related to application installations, including the ability to determine hardware and software requirements for application installations. • Great Plains Table Structure Knowledge is needed – preferably 2010. • Experience and knowledge of the following is a PLUS: ReQlogic, VerTex, ImageLink, Customizations (VBA, Modifier, VB.NET). • Ability to work directly with users on requirements and support is required.
