Experis is recruiting for their client in Cincinnati, Ohio for a Windows Migration Project Coordinator. This position is an administrative and light technical position that will assist in preparing each of the 140 individual sites to migrate their desktop equipment to the Windows 7 operating system. This position will assist in perfecting the site readiness checklist. The position will report to the project manager. Essential Job Functions: Follow a schedule of up to 10 site migrations per month Develop and manage site level rollout schedule Refine site remediation process (Communications, Release Documentation, Training, Reporting, PC Upgrade, Refresh or OS Upgrade, Support, Metrics/Measures) Train additional project coordinators on developed processes Identify and follow up on hardware to be replaced and/or upgraded Identify applications and drive them through Application Governance process Identify IE 8 application compatibility issues and get the application introduced into the browser governance committee Escalate application incompatibilities to Project Manager so safety net alternative can be developed Ensure that site server (ITMS package server) at each site is upgraded and staged with sites applications based on need Assist site with Windows 7 migration (up to 50% travel may apply) Maintain site migration statistical metrics Maintain Risk and Issue list for each site Produce Gap Report on XP Exposure for each site Survey Site user base for continual improvement Escalate and report any significant issues to Project Manager Ideal Qualifications: The ideal candidates should possess: Proven problem solving and organizational skills.
