An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Materials Inspector to join an EPCM that has earned an excellent reputation both locally and internationally and in this project you will also be working with one of the worlds largest mining companies. This Perth based position is due to on going project work and you will be reporting directly to the Materials Coordinator. Your main responsibility is to inspect materials ensuring that they are ready for departure to site however you will also be required to: • Ensuring transport requests are sent to site Material Controllers & allocating to dedicated supply vessels • Sending materials and inspecting ready for transit • Liaising with on-site materials coordinators ensuring goods arrived are as per Transport Request • Attending meetings • Verifying all rigging documentation is in place prior to load out • Managing holding containers and transferring materials required to holding containers • Facilitating storm readiness for project materials. • Co-ordinating the hiring of crane and associated equipment • Receiving back loaded equipment & materials as well as Transport Requests from offshore • Providing leave coverage as required within the Material Control section. To be considered for this opportunity you will have the following skills and experience: • Experience with Material Tracking Systems • Knowledge of site and Perth based materials experience • Demonstrated delivery of exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders • High level of interpersonal skills and the ability to develop practical solutions to problems • Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel This is an excellent opportunity to use your site based skills to bring back to Perth and enjoy all the benefits of living and working in Perth.
