WiFi Marketing Planning Manager Location: Torrance, CA Duration: 6 months with possible contract to hire Description: - Manages, develops, distributes and maintains all aspects of creative related to: communications, brand and product presentations and tools for advertising sales. - Organizes and oversees the day-to-day account activities, as well as longer term planning needs. - Captures results and reports ROI of creative projects. - Develops focused creative strategy and creative briefs. - Presents creative and manages client's budgets. - Seizes opportunities to develop and grow the account. - This position is responsible for developing, establishing and maintaining marketing strategies to support the WiFi deployment goals. - This job supports the marketing direct to identify and plan site coverage locations. - Coordinate with indoor, outdoor, municipalities and other various business development teams to complete design strategies. - Managing the onboarding procedures by working with construction and commercial teams through to build. - Working with Marketing support for signage. - Can think outside the box and recommend solutions to marketing problems. - Liaison to Marketing, Public Relations and Government Relations. - Main responsibility will help to plan out where to build (WiFi Sites) and present the reasoning behind it. - Director will oversee the manager position. - A former VP would be ideal if they are a good fit. - Will have to keep teams up to speed and/or provide information for the Core Business, will have to assign staff and help in the marketing strategy plan. - The Planning Manager will report to the Planning Director. - Manager felt if the person’s filling this position had a combination of financial management / planning and Marketing management / planning, that would be great. - Determine where and why going to build networks for wifi implementations. - Support selling, marketing and strategy planning. - Combination of financial planning and marketing planning/strategy. - How to drive/build a business. - Not industry specific. - Would take an up and comer- does not need to be in a current Director position, can also be a former VP. - In this role, you will be focused on our current efforts in developing, establishing and maintaining marketing strategies to support Client WiFi deployment goals. - Work with senior managers across the organization to support all aspects of marketing in conjunction with the Wifi market planning and implementation process. - Coordinate with indoor, outdoor, municipalities and other various business development teams to complete design strategies. - Manage the on boarding procedures by working with construction and commercial teams through to build. - Work with marketing support for signage. - Seizes opportunities to develop and grow client accounts. - Organizes and oversees the day-to-day account activities, as well as longer term planning needs. - Captures results and reports ROI of creative projects. - Manages, develops, distributes and maintains all aspects of creative related to: communications, brand and product presentations. - Liaison to Marketing, Public Relations and Government Relations. - Client looking for someone who can think outside the box and recommend solutions to marketing problems. - A “can-do” attitude with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic in a fast paced environment. - Self-motivated worker with entrepreneurial passion and ability to effectively multi-task. - Highly organized and result driven with strong knowledge of strategic marketing principles. - Ability to develop and execute marketing efforts and analyze the effectiveness of all marketing efforts including accurately and promptly analyzing all market data and responding appropriately. - Developing and executing sponsorship deals and measuring success. - Interact with Client Commercial Business Units, Operations, Marketing, PR, Product Management, Order Entry, Systems Support etc. - Work with senior managers across the organization to support all aspects of marketing in conjunction with the Wifi market planning and implementation process. - Coordinate with indoor, outdoor, municipalities and other various business development teams to complete design strategies. Required Skills: - Skills equivalent to 6-10 years in comparable position. - They are looking for excellent business acumen; good communication skills are absolutely required. - Experience in Telecom industry is not heavily favored; any candidate who is a self-starter and very self-directed is ideal (General Business background or Branch Management background are sufficient). - A background in Finance/Financial analysis or Marketing Analysis is ideal. - However this position is not about creating collateral, direct marketing or media buys, it’s the business experience and analysis skills that are the focus. - These individuals must be able to think strategically, i.e., deciding where to build a network, and why. - Must be highly organized and a quick thinker. - These candidates must have good writing skills, be able to work independently and great communication skills. - These individuals don’t have to have a telecom or wireless background, rather just a good, strong business background. - Wifi-Not needed any experience. - Telecom experience is not needed. - Excellent critical thinking, reporting and analytic skills, both quantitative and qualitative, with strong attention to detail. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Proactive, outgoing and can work collaboratively in a fast-paced working environment. - Must be skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Big picture thinker and detailed oriented. - Generalist marketing- account management and product management, Not finding this experience. - Analytical and sales skills to drive customer growth and business retention. - Fortune 500 company experience looking for. - Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of people. - Build commission models, marketing collateral, identify prospective commercial clients, training, promotional events. - 3-5 Years Experience. - Someone who is a big-picture thinker as well as someone who is detail-oriented. - “Generalist thinker” with experience from Product, Marketing and Account Management. - Strong analytical, creative skills ad sales skills. - Assist in driving growth of customer base (acquisition) and to facilitate upgrades of existing accounts (retention). - Typically someone with experience working in Fortune 500 companies. - Strong interpersonal skills & confident with individuals at all levels of the organization as well as someone who is comfortable in working independently as well as in a team environment. - Media selling/buying/marketing- Not needed. - Why would we want to build/place our network equipment at this location. - Highly analytic/communicating/leadership. Education: - Bachelor's degree required.
