Operation & Maintenance processes audit consultant for short term Audit contract Note: the candidate must have done similar audit for a large operator (having at least 3,000 sites) The high level scope is below: * Understand the Organisational Hierarchy of NOC Roles and responsibility and compare the available headcount compared to the workload requirement. * Evaluate all the different operations that are being handled by NOC and recommend strategies to improve the efficiency of these functions and processes related to the following: * Alarm Management * Trouble Ticket Management * Configuration Management * Reporting * Audit the Functioning of the Alarm Management Department to check if all the relevant Alarms are configured at the respective elements and are being observed. * Evaluate & Document the SOP, SLA and Alarm Handling Procedures for the critical and Major Alarms along-with escalation procedures. * Identify, Validate & Document the alarms relating to Service degradation (not outage) and check if all the relevant alarms are configured. * Analyse the previous alarm logs related to BSS, NSS & Transmission with their closure. * Evaluate the process related to reporting of Alarms and opening of Trouble Tickets with the O&M Departments. * Audit of reports generated by NOC department and their effectiveness. Also the quality of analysis currently done by NOC on various reports and KPIs. * Audit of OMCR network (Servers & IP) security. Identification of security loopholes and recommendations for enhancements. * Processes undertaken for preventive maintenance for their effectiveness and strategy for the spares handling and their distribution and the end to end R&R cycle management audit * Evaluating the inter-working between NOC and other Engineering and Roll out department * Roaming Services (Voice, Data, Welcome SMS, etc.) * Welcome SMS, Quality of roaming, suggest enhancement, give reference to Industry best Practices for ensuring roaming quality. * Auditing the process of preventive and corrective maintenance, for all units like BSS (BSC and BTS field), Core, IN and VAS. * Organisation audit; structure and HC compared with work load and future deployment based on latest Business Plan * Evaluate the performance degradation and outage reporting process * Evaluate the Site Acceptance Process for the taking over of New Sites and equipment. * Health and Safety Processes * Evaluate the overall roles and responsibilities of Field teams and suggest enhancement
