We are currently recruiting for Passenger Transport Escorts for local council based in north London. The role is to provide a sensitive service to special educational needs in children in the borough, ensuring their safety and well being whilst transported both to and from school/day care centres. Temporary part time roles, school term time only, shift work (am/pm school run) up to 15hours. Main duties will include: To ensure the safe guarding of children from the moment they are collected until the time they are handed over to any acknowledged responsible person on reaching the pre- determined destination. Communicate effectively with the partner/carer of the child with regards to any alteration of timings or both issues. Communicate with the driver of the vehicle and the child/children with regard to any transportation and care issues arising on route. Monitor key issues and report back to the main office on the following: Vehicle condition, driver & pupil behaviour, route timeliness, incidents affecting the children or the safety of the transport. To have regard to the safety and well being of all passengers. Help with wheelchair operation and safety where applicable. CRB check Full training provided by Local Council
