We have a South Florida client with an immediate and very long contract need for an experienced SAS Administrator. This person should ideally possess:   Ø   Hands on experience in various server components including SAS Metadata Server and Workspace Server Ø   Hands on experience with applications including SAS Management Console, SAS Enterprise Guide 4.13+, SAS Data Integration Studio, and BASE SAS 9.13+ Ø   Experience in installing, configuring, and administering SAS BI platform in a single instance Ø   Basic Linux skills - Shell scripting Ø   Knowledge of SAS Server architecture   This person should have:   Ø   Understanding of relational database structure and demonstrated experience in developing code Ø   Ability to interpret business requirements in order to design and implement enhancements and modifications to the SAS Servers. Ø   Detailed oriented and excellent verbal and written communication skills Ø   Participate in the production software deployments, upgrades, capacity planning, backup strategies, as well as software/hardware integration planning and will coordinate troubleshooting and make recommendations for configuration of the SAS application Ø   Working knowledge of Job Scheduling     The overall role and position responsibilities will include:     Data Integration Studio – 5+ years hands on Experience Ø   Create, Modify and Update Tables Ø   Create and Modify Reports Ø   Create and Update Metadata Ø   Deploy jobs to Scheduler Ø   Read Logs using BASE SAS and SQL Code   BASE SAS and Enterprise Guide – 5+ years hands on Experience Ø   Base SAS Code to modify reports and tables Ø   SAS Macro language Ø   SQL Code   SAS Administration Functions - 3 to 5 years hands on Experience Ø   Shut down and Restart Linux Servers and SAS Services Ø   Apply Patches, Licenses and Hotfixes Ø   Monitor Batch Processing Ø   Monitor Space Utilization Ø   SAS Software Upgrades Ø   Monitor Daily Batch processes   Management Console – 1+ years hands on Experience Ø   Create Internal and External Libraries Ø   Add and Modify User Accounts Ø   Create Data Flows to be used by Scheduler   Our client is an excellent place to work, having been identified for the past 14 years by Fortune Magazine as one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" in the US.
