Internal Communications Manager Financial Services Organisation City of London Location 12 month (Maternity cover Contract) – Immediate start Up to £325 per day Our client prestigious International Corporate and Investment bank is on the search for an experienced Global Internal Communications Manager to join their team for 12 months starting Immediately. The purpose of the role: Support Internal Communication strategy and delivery for the corporate and investment bank globally. Advise and support senior stakeholders on communication strategy and tactical delivery. Oversee global internal communication initiatives and projects to drive two-way engagement. Work closely with senior marketing and communication colleagues across all regions to drive best practice and consistent approach. Duties and responsibilities: To help drive employee engagement through socialising brand, values and operating principles internally. Work with existing internal communication channels and building on existing approach, including developing innovative new solutions to constantly raise the bar on internal communications and maximise communication effectiveness. Maintain consistent, timely and transparent approach to our communications with our colleagues – 12,000 staff based in 31 countries. Support on the ongoing implementation of a global internal communications strategy, working closely with the Marketing and Communications team and regionally based senior colleagues. Support on delivery of project based activity alongside overseeing the successful delivery of “business as usual” communication through a defined suite of communication channels. Compile, write and publish weekly business update and ‘fastinfo’ posters. Liaise with contributors from around the business to craft and communicate messages. Act as editor for the Investment bank online quarterly magazine. Responsible for every aspect of delivery; from issue planning, coordinating content/contributors, writing/editing stories, managing creative agency, critiquing creative and design and attaining all required signoffs. Manage the budget for implementation of internal communications projects Manage relationships with key suppliers Skills and experience required: Financial Services experience is a must for this role. Experience in global/international organisations with matrix structures. Strong, specialist knowledge – acknowledged internal communications expertise (both strategy and tactical delivery). Awareness of new and emerging communication techniques. Ability to work across multiple geographies and to manage within a complex matrix structure Ability to work through other teams to effect plans Very strong writing skills. Be a creative and lateral thinker. Attention to detail – proof-reading is required. Ability to deal professionally with people at all levels and work independently. Ability to manage a diverse workload and meet deadlines. Strong IT skills. Energy, enthusiasm and an inspiring demeanour.
