Beacon Hill Technologies is working with a local, Cleveland-based Client to staff a Manual Quality Assurance Analyst on a 6-month, Contract-to-Hire basis. Summary This position is responsible for quality assurance testing of system and application changes in support of internal systems. Quality assurance testing includes the design, documentation and execution of test plans and test cases, and identification, reporting and resolution of defects and bugs. Quality assurance testing includes but is not limited to system integration, end to end, regression, functional and performance testing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review and understand Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Technical Specifications Write Test Plans based on BRD and Technical Specifications and review with subject matter experts Design, write and execute test cases for all supported applications and change requests Verify application changes function and are implemented as described in the Business Requirements Document test results and update TeamTrack with all supporting test documentation. Work effectively with business analysts, developers and designers to ensure projects are properly tested and defects are resolved Communicate status and progress of testing effort to manager and project team members Conduct post production testing when appropriate Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary to meet deadlines. Essential Skills/Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, system integration, end to end, functional, and regression testing, etc. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of software testing methodology and best practices while maintaining and enforcing quality standards SQL experience in writing queries to test data in databases and tables Experienced in Back End testing, database testing and manual testing Demonstrated analytical skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively with staff at all levels Excellent written and verbal skills and extremely detail oriented in nature Strong organizational skills, including the ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in order to meet deadlines Ability to work independently Experienced in testing in an environment that utilizes Microsoft development tools Ability to test applications that are maintained by a third party Education/Training/Experience Bachelor's Degree in a technical field preferred.
