Background: totallyradio.com is an internet radio station providing on-demand music radio programmes since and reaches thousands of listeners a month with fans in every country of the world. Music genres include Reggae, Jazz, World, Breaks, Hip Hop, Beats, Country, Chill, Rock and Indie. The studios are based within Juice 107.2 in Brighton, UK. Opportunity: totallyradio is offering a part time internship lasting a duration of 6-12 months. This would ideally be 1-2 days a week, preferably on a Monday, Thursday or Friday. Interns will work within a small team (up to three people) but as we share an office with our sister station Juice 107.2, there are plenty of people to meet, learn from and socialise with. Interns can expect to gain an insight into the digital broadcast sector across a variety of platforms (online and mobile). There are opportunities to learn about FM broadcasting via our sister radio station Juice 107.2. The internship is varied and best suited to someone with a general interest in media and technology rather than an interest in a single area (e.g. programme production). Interns will gain practical experience in the following areas: • Programme production • Digital audio editing • Website management • Statistical analysis of listening figures and/or audience research • Research activities • Customer liaison • Principals of digital broadcasting Totallyradio is unable to pay a salary but can offer invaluable experience in the media and radio industry.
