Job Title : Senior Systems Administrator Location : Tallahassee, FL Type : CONTRACT Duration : 6 Months Contract JOB REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 Server Operating Systems. Knowledge of Microsoft Clustering Services and other Highly available server methodologies. Knowledge of daily Windows server administration, including system stability, integrity, and troubleshooting. Proficient in installing, configuring and troubleshooting enterprise applications and middleware. Proficient in backup integrity and recovery coordination along with disaster preparedness planning. Advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols including DHCP, DNS, WINS and TCP/IP applied in an enterprise environment utilized by servers in a multi-homed configuration. Advanced knowledge of networking including routing, subnetting and static/persistent routes. Self-motivated, with the ability to work in both a team environment and individually. Knowledge of the relevant computer systems, applications and equipment to provide customer support of technical terminology, concepts and applications. Ability to understand and comply to the relevant department and/or corporate policies, procedures and guidelines as they pertain to customer support. Knowledge of relevant commonly-used concepts, best practices, and procedures. Knowledge of local and remote computer system diagnostic tools. Proficient with current versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Ability to work “on-call” and after normal working hours. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS in related field OR equivalent years in college education and relevant experience such as enterprise server administration. 4 or more years’ experience in systems administration OR MCSE/MCIPT certified and 3 years of relevant experience. 2 or more years’ experience as a technical lead of an IT project team to include experience in supporting enterprise class application and middleware technologies.
