Position: Electrical Site Supervisor/Manager Rate: £320.00 per day plus accommodation allowance Duration: 3-4 months + Location: Iver, Buckinghamshire Main Purpose of Job: Site Supervisor/Manager to oversee the commissioning of installed electrical works up to 11kv and associated power manager systems to the requirements of the contract specification and satisfaction of the client. The ideal candidate would have HV Electrical experience and have worked for a main contractor within the water treatment industry. Key Tasks: Production of a commissioning plan in accordance with the contract specification and agree plan with the client's representative Maintaining records and results in accordance with the commissioning plan Production of Test Data Sheets and Record Sheets Co-ordination of sub-contractors for commissioning Ensure safe working practices during the testing and commissioning period Production of commissioning programme and ensure commissioning is kept to programme Maintain and update the Quality Plan relating to commissioning activities Inform the Site Agent on commissioning progress regularly Advise interested parties e.g. Contract Manager, QS, of any actions which will have a commercial advantage/disadvantage to the Company Report weekly on progress and resource requirements to the Technical Manager - Water Treatment Department Personal Qualities Self-motivated with leadership qualities Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels Reliable and the ability to work both in a team and independently The ability to solve problems and make decisions during commissioning is essential Qualifications and Specialist Training HNC in electrical engineering discipline with extensive on-site HV electrical commissioning experience and supervision Job Experience Five years' commissioning experience in a similar role Specialist Knowledge/Competences Good knowledge of process, systems and equipment used on sewage and water treatment works would be beneficial but is not essential. A good all-round understanding of Electrical, Mechanical and ICA equipment in an industrial environment would suffice
