Our major pharmaceutical client is looking for Associate Scientist II at Thousand Oaks, CA.   Job description:   Provide bench support towards the development of methods for (1) antibody fluorophore conjugations, (2) antibody and protein lyophilization, (3) preparation of multicolor antibody cocktails and (4) flow cytometric bead arrays Responsibilities include: ·          Monitoring or following established experimental design and protocols to obtain reproducible and reliable results with limited supervision ·          Effectively transfers experimental methods from literature to the lab and makes modifications as necessary ·          Develops and implements new protocols with moderate review ·          Coordinates and organizes resources needed to complete tasks ·          Analyzes results and provides interpretation and communication of the data to work group ·          Records and organizes data in a laboratory notebook; May contribute to internal/external reports, papers, presentations, regulatory documents, invention disclosure submissions and/or patents ·          Able to effectively trouble-shoot equipment and experimental difficulties Required Skills and Experience: ·          Minimum of a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Biomedical engineering, Chemical engineering, Biochemistry or Analytical Chemistry. ·         Experience in a Biopharmaceutical working environment ·         Familiarity with protein biochemistry and protein purification technologies including affinity, ion exchange, hydrophobic interaction, size exclusion chromatography protein A/G affinity purification. ·          Basic Flow Cytometry experience (preferably with Becton Dickinson instruments)
