Data Warehouse / BI Developer Madison, WI In early 2011 our client purchased a suite of dashboard and reporting tools. Specifically, the data model and dashboard was purchased from VersiFit Technologies. VersiFit is based in Appleton and their product, Edvantage, is a business intelligence solution specific to education. In addition, ETL (SSIS) and reporting tools (SSRS) were purchased from Microsoft. SSRS will be used for data warehouse reporting as well as throughout the agency for operational reporting. Our client is looking for a Data Warehouse/BI Developer to perform dashboard administrator tasks. Other tasks include maintaining security setup within the dashboard including groups, roles, object level security, and data security; define, implement, and maintain a version control and a change control process; help to identify and implement design standards; complete new dashboard development including development of core semantic layer objects; coordinate development efforts of other developers; create, maintain and utilize a comprehensive dashboard test plan and testcases; coordinate and/or perform support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution; provide recommendations and develop documentation as necessary. Location: Madison, WI Contract: 1 year w/ anticipated renewals through 07/2015 Skills Required: 3+ years - Ability to develop user documentation and perform training 3+ years - Ability to develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures including test/use cases 3+ years - Experience with Microsoft BI tools including SSRS, Excel, Access, and SharePoint 5+ years - Data analysis 5+ years - Experience in data warehouse design, development, requirements gathering for data warehouse and Performance tuning 5+ years - Oracle; Knowledge of Oracle including stored procedures and SQL Tuning 3+ years - SQL Server 2008 5+ years - Knowledge of Kimball data warehouse design principals 5+ years - Business Objects or other BI tools 5+ years - SQL Skills Desired - A plus to have: Knowledge of ETL concepts Experience with security administration Knowledge of Team Foundation Server for version control. Knowledge of data warehouse design techniques, specifically Star/Snowflake dimensional data models.
