SQL DBA/ Analyst
SQL Server Database Analyst/ DBA/West Yorkshire/Contract 3-6 months/�neg The role will involve administering both a test and live high availability Microsoft SQL Server 2008 environment. While the focus of the position is on database administration, with duties ranging from disaster recovery, planning, and implementation to operational monitoring. This candidate will also perform development and programming functions as needed. Key Requirements: � � Extensive SQL Server 2008 Experience � � SQL Merge Replication � � Support Maintenance and upgrading of SQL software � � Monitoring and tuning database optimisation � � Management of internal and external MS SQL database security management � � High-availability experience: Clustering, Replication � � Stored Procedures, Triggers, Performance tuning � � Experience of SQL, T-SQL scripting � � SSIS, ETL Experience Duties & Responsibilities � � Ensure availability and performance of the databases which support the system � � Proactively monitor database systems to ensure security with a minimum downtime � � Allocate associated hardware resources to the databases to guarantee high resilience and performance tuning � � Responsible for preparing trend analysis and submitting information to the management team to assist them in improving database performance � � Responsible for improvement, maintenance (including roll out and upgrades) of databases, along with troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL development � � In accordance with agreed costs and timescales, responsibility for implementing and release of database changes If you have the skills we are looking for please forward your CV to Anthony_francis@spring.com Spring Technology is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
