QA Engineer 9 months Test, test case, quality assurance, quality assurance engineer, software test engineer, tester, SDET, test plan, automation Seattle, WA (local candidates only) Job Description In our clients Quality Assurance group, they test the software that enables individuals to sell a book or corporations to fully integrate with them. This group is a core part of our clients business and growing at a tremendous rate. We need Quality Assurance engineers who want to work with systems of those magnitudes. The members of the team perform the following activities: * Verify software meets the requirements * Write test plans * Automate test cases * Improve the software development process * Advocate for the customer * Process creation The ideal candidate gets excited about making certain the user experience is the best possible. The strength of an engineer is the ability to create documentation, creatively improve the software development and QA process, and the finely honed ability to break software in unexpected ways. Candidates must be innovative, creative, flexible, self-directed, and understand quality assurance procedures and methodologies. The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications: * Strong critical thinking skills * Understanding of core Internet technologies * Understanding of UNIX based operating systems * Experience interacting and coordinating testing amongst multiple teams * Excellent documentation skills * Programming experience in Java, C++, Perl, or Ruby is a plus * Prior quality assurance experience is a definite plus Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or 2+ years relevant work experience * Experience building and designing test cases * Experience with testing methodologies (unit testing, Scrum) * Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis Preferred Qualifications * Understanding of core Internet technologies * Deep knowledge of quality best practices and processes * Experience with UI Test automation * Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, C#, Java, or PERL Please email your resume to veronika.johnson@experis.com referencing the appropriate Job ID J-10-676-011.
